Our Cattery is situated in Ariège, in the French Pyrénées. We live at 700 m high, in a small mountain village. In the summer, the nice weather gives our cat some good days "sunbathing" ! In the winter, we sometimes have some snow and then, it's a real playground in the garden for those of our cats who want to go out !

I discovered Maine Coon cats in a magazine, in 1998. Straight away, I felt in love with this "wild look" and the size of those cats. At the moment, there was not a single Cattery near where I lived to meet the cats I was dreaming of !

So I waited... till 2003, when I moved near a breeding ! At last ! I would be able to cuddle a Maine Coon ! And a sunny day of June, I met Sylvie CHARRON and her breeding "de la Croix Lorraine"... That was it !!!!

Since then, I did all I could to welcome a coony at home, to share my life and my the life of my "prairy's cocktails", SHANTIH, SHAFI, and TROLLEY.

VICTOIRE DE LA CROIX LORRAINE is born on January 27th, 2004. I fell in love in a second ! A real cheeky baby, so cute, full of life and "cooneries" !!! So she came to live with us in April, and since then, the house's life is a real happiness (so more activities !).

Little by little, and helped by Sylvie, who became a friend, I thought of starting a breeding... And I started dealing with all the papers you need to fill in to create a Cattery !

The Cattery name ? Easy ! I was born in Pas-de-Calais, in the north of France, and in spite of having to move in the south for my work, I wanted to pay homage to my native country. The "Côte d'Opale" is well know for it's two Caps, the "Cap Blanc-Nez" and the "Cap Gris-Nez", chalk and sandstone cliffs. So I created a third Cap, the "Cap Coon" !
